Senior Heritage Advisor

Biography

Edmund has been the heritage advisor to Transport for London since 2006.  He has provided conservation and design input into transport projects across the modes including the London Overground, Underground, Cycle Hire, public realm and highway projects. His post is funded by English Heritage and he is also seconded two days a week to the Greater London Authority at City Hall, advising Design for London and the planning team on regeneration projects and new developments in historic areas.

He has over 20 years of experience working in the public sector as a DC planner and conservation officer for the London boroughs of Lambeth and Camden and the cities of Bristol and Lichfield. Before that he was a perpetual student, attaining degrees which included economic & social history, tourism, transport and town planning.

He is also an architectural historian, having published two books on the Heritage of Lambeth.
