Design Elements
Overview
There are a number of elements that make up a station, both internal and external. From an urban design perspective station design should not stop at the front door, making it important to acknowledge the external elements, addressing issues such as the connection with the street and impact on streetscape.
The technical specifications and requirements for these can be found elsewhere. This website addresses how these elements relate to the concerns of the urban realm agenda, implications for movement and how they need to be addressed to ensure a usable and positive environment.
